When I recently went to the theater I saw several previews for upcoming movies but on made me just shout WTF!? Spiderman was released in 2002 starring Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst. Its final film and third film Spiderman 3 released in 2007. Being that its so soon it makes me wonder why the remake?
Has Hollywood truly run out of ideas? It is said that Sony Pictures wants a second go at the franchise in a chance to reboot their ties to the movie world.
The Amazing SpiderMan (I hate the name) is set to release on the bis screen just in time for the summer blockbuster season of 2012. Starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/ SpiderMan, Denis Leary as George Stacy, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker, Sally Field as May Parker, and Stan Lee as Stan the Man. Kinda seems like they attached some high power names and called it a day.
